Dog receiving therapy at Linhay

Rehabilitation involves the use of non-invasive techniques such as physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, acupuncture and exercise therapy to help restore optimal form and function.

The aims and goals of rehabilitation are to:

  • Restore mobility post surgery
  • Return function after an injury
  • Manage acute and chronic pain
  • Improve quality of life for the geriatric and arthritic patients
  • Assist with weight loss for obesity

Maintenance therapy is used post rehabilitation to assist continued mobility, strength and fitness. Rehabilitation helps to improve muscle strength, joint range of motion, cardiovascular fitness and endurance.

See our case studies for examples on how these treatments have helped various animals.
