The Linhay has a canine aquatic treadmill, custom designed for canine rehabilitation. When animals exercise in water, the energy expended is significantly greater compared to that on land.
Exercising against water resistance, in a partial weight-bearing environment, allows active muscle contraction with minimal loading effect on the musculoskeletal system. This results in:
The aquatic treadmill provides a controlled environment for rehabilitation, where specific joints, range of motion (either flexion/extension) or muscle groups may be targeted during exercise. The treadmill speed and depth of the water may be varied to achieve this, and also allows for gait analysis. A veterinary surgeon, physiotherapist or nurse will always be present.

We also have our own hydrotherapy pool, where we offer swimming for fun and fitness, as well as for maintenance and rehabilitation. Our veterinary surgeons, physiotherapists and trained veterinary nurses are available at all times
A veterinary surgeon, physiotherapist or veterinary nurse, can provide supervision of the hydrotherapy pool sessions if required, but MUST be requested, as not present at all times.
